What is Equitotal?
A family of apps for equine professionals. We call it being “Powered by Equitotal”
Can I use the App on my desktop, phone?
Yes they will all automatically sync. The web app works in your favourite browser across all devices. Supported browsers are Chrome, Internet Explorer and Safari. The mobile app is available for iOS and Android phones / tablets in the Google Play & iOS App store for download.
What countries is the App available in?
Initially available autumn 2017 in the UK and US other countries following on shortly after. Will update when we have more details.
Why is Equitotal better than other Apps?
They are designed exclusively for your profession. They are not apps that cover a large number of professions and therefore always a compromise.
How will this app make me more productive?
It will save you a lot of time and considerably reduce your paperwork. This will give you time for more appointments or a bit more time off, your choice.
Getting Started
Can I import my existing contacts?
Version 2 will be available in the UK, US: June 2017 and then in other countries. Yes there are 2 ways of you may prefer to take the opportunity to have a clear out and enter owner’s details as you make appointments.
- Import from you phone. When you first go into Contacts in the App you will be asked if you want to import contacts. You can then select which contacts you would like to import.
- Send us a CSV file and we'll make sure the fields correspond with the App’s and then we will put your contacts into your new App for you.
Professionals
How will I earn more?
Greatly reduced admin will give you more time for productive work or of course just more time to put your feet up.
How quickly can I get going?
Download our App and within minutes you can be making appointments.
Can I do my accounts on the App?
It will help you record your invoices, mileage and expenses. It will make your bookkeepers life a lot easier.
Can any of my field users download my data?
No only primary users can do this.
Can I earn money by recommending the App to other professionals?
Yes - but of course we only want you to refer other professionals if you think our Apps are great.
How do I recommend the App to other Equine professionals - Physios, Riding coaches, Saddlers etc?
On your dashboard (refer button) just enter the professionals details and we will do the rest.
Subscriptions
How Does The 1 Month Free Trial Work?
Try the App for a month, risk free! All it takes is your email address and some basic information and you’re on your way!
What Do I Get In My Free Trial?
You get full access to everything for a month. You will experience how the App helps you manage your business.
What Happens After My Trial Ends?
We’ll give you a heads up before your trial is over. At that point, you can upgrade to the paid plan, add your billing info, and continue making your life easy.
Can I Cancel At Anytime?
Yes, you can cancel at any time.
Do you have a contract?
Your subscription is monthly, which you can leave anytime you like, without penalty.There is also an annual subscription option available during setup.
What happens to my data if I leave?
It’s your data, download anytime up to 6 months from when you end the subscription.
What are the subscription options?
Single user includes:
1. One Primary user with calendar and full access.
2. Office manager with no separate calendar.
3. Book-keeper access to sales invoices, purchases, expenses and mileage.
Multi User includes:
1. If you have more than one van, this is for you.
2. Each user has their own calendar.
3. There is an extra charge for each user per month.
4. The Primary user has some features (vehicle tracking and database download) not available to their other users.

Are there any discounts if I am a member of an association?
Yes - your association will let you know about these.

Getting paid
What is the easiest way to get paid?
Encourage your customer to sign up to GoCardless in the UK or Stripe in the US. When you come to invoice its just one button and the money will be credited to your account. Customers love it!
What does it cost to use GoCardless and Stripe (These rates may change check current rates at www.stripe.com and www.GoCardless.com)
For Direct Debit / ACH / SEPA payments:
UK - GoCardless charge 1% up to a maximum of £2.
US - Stripe charge 0.8% up to a maximum of $5.
Europe - GoCardless charge 1% up to a maximum of £2.
Australia - To be announced.
For Credit and Debit cards we use Stripe:
UK - 1.4% +0.20p no monthly charges.
US - 2.9% +0.20p still to be confirmed.
Europe - 1.4% + 0.20p no monthly charges.

Owners
What is the owner’s App?
This is an App for customers whose professional is “Powered by Equitotal”. It shows current appointments and last 5 invoices amongst other things. (coming soon)
How do I get the App? Does the App work on any device, including desktop?
The web app works in your favourite browser across all devices including your desktop. Supported browsers are Chrome, Internet Explorer and Safari. The mobile app is available for iOS and Android phones / tablets in the Google Play & iOS App store for download.
I have an Android phone and iPad but I also use my desktop in the office, will the App sync across all of my devices?
Yes - The App will sync across all devices.
How must does the Owners App cost?
It’s free.
Will I get notifications for my appointments?
Yes - provided you have allowed push notifications you will get a message pop up 24 hours before any appointment.
If I am using more than one professional “Powered by Equitotal” do I need different Apps?
No - All of your professionals will be shown on your App.
Can I message my professional through the App?
Yes and hopefully this will encourage them to get in contact.
Will it recommend other professionals in my area?
Yes - but we have no control over the quality of service provided by any of the professionals using our Apps. We do have a feedback system though.
How do I see where my professional is on the day of appointment?
If your professional sends you an SMS to say they have just left their last appointment you can see their location on your App map. No more holding horses waiting for them to turn up.
